the stuff of life.

lotsa work to do but i really just want to lie around, watch movies and eat. last week i ran into someone i haven't seen in a while, and she said (paraphrasing) " mo! you are wasting away! law school must be hard!" gotta love raina and her awesome maternity clothes. needless to say, i am not wasting away. i've gained twenty pounds so far, and the baby probably weighs one pound of that. the rest is two bite brownies and dark chocolate gelato and spanakopita and egg rolls and eggs bennie w/swiss cheese and... now i'm really hungry.

tomorrow is mum's birthday and dad is taking her to a "carnival of cocktails" sponsored by the liquor commission, hosted by the casino. the idea is to dress up fancy, pay $45/person, and get served 12 drinks in 3 hours. there are also tasty canapes and hors d'oeurves involved. after they finish their cocktails, they are spending the night in the hotel. i am so jealous, i can hardly speak of it. what i wouldn't give for a silly drunken night in a hotel with dil right now. btw, i am also really really happy for my mum. my dad finally got it right after years of crappy toaster gifts!

if i haven't seen you in a while, you really should come and see me this week. i am on spring break, and also on semi-bed rest (read: can't go anywhere and totally b-o-r-e-d).
